Mark D.  Dankberg MARK D. DANKBERG has been a director of REMEC since September 1999. Mr. Dankberg was a founder of ViaSat, Inc. and has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of ViaSat since its inception in May 1986. Mr. Dankberg also serves as a director of TrellisWare Technologies, Inc., a privately-held subsidiary of ViaSat that develops advanced signal processing technologies for communication applications and U.S. Monolithics, a privately-held subsidiary of ViaSat that develops millimeter-wave components and integrated millimeter-wave equipment. Prior to founding ViaSat, he was Assistant Vice President of M/A-COM Linkabit, a manufacturer of satellite telecommunications equipment, from 1979 to 1986 and Communications Engineer for Rockwell International from 1977 to 1979. Mr. Dankberg holds B.S.E.E. and M.E.E. degrees from Rice University.
