SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 25, 2004--REMEC, Inc. (NASDAQ: REMC) today announced that it has formed its Base Station (BTS) Evolution Team, a creative consortium focused on driving the company's strategy and platform evolution for integrated Radio solutions. The BTS Evolution Team is an internal cross-functional group that is focused on understanding customer requirements for next generation BTS platforms and developing REMEC's future Radio solutions that meet these requirements. Led by Sanjay Nagpal, director of product marketing at REMEC, the team will provide the vision and insight to help REMEC lead in the development of inventive, customized, standards-based Radio products. These include both rack mount integrated Radio products as well as remote pole or wall mount RF Head products. REMEC provides customers with a high-level of integration capabilities in order to lower equipment costs. Companies with different needs can combine transceivers, power amplifiers and diplexers, or any combination of products that are required. REMEC has built prototype samples of standards based integrated radio products and commercial products are expected to be available in the second half of 2004.
