SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 14, 2003--REMEC, Inc. (Nasdaq:REMC) today announced the appointment of Winston E. Hickman to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Hickman has over 25 years of senior financial executive experience in high technology companies. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President and CFO of Paradigm Wireless Systems Inc., which was acquired earlier this week by REMEC. Prior to joining Paradigm, Mr. Hickman served as Senior Vice President and CFO for Pacific Scientific, a New York Stock Exchange listed company. He has also held Vice President of Finance positions at Allied Signal and Rockwell International, both large public companies. "Mr. Hickman's experience as a senior financial executive with public companies, from the large to the entrepreneurial, will serve the company well as we move forward in the growth and success of our global enterprise," said Ron Ragland, REMEC's Chairman and CEO.
