Harold Hughes Joins REMEC Board of Directors

SAN DIEGO, Sep 15, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- REMEC Inc. (Nasdaq: REMC) today announced that Harold E. Hughes Jr. has been elected to its board of directors. Hughes, 57, is the former chairman and CEO of Pandesic LLC, an e-commerce software supplier owned jointly by Intel Corporation and SAP. Prior to that, he spent 23 years with Intel where he held key positions in finance and operations management, including treasurer, chief financial officer and vice president of planning and logistics. Hughes also founded and served as the vice president of Intel Capital, Intel's venture investment operation. From 1969 - 1974, Hughes served as an officer in the United States Army. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BA from the University of Wisconsin. Hughes currently serves on the boards of Merant, Rambus Inc. and Xilinx Inc.
