| SAN DIEGO, Oct 3, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- REMEC, Inc.
(Nasdaq: REMC), announces that effective October 1, 2002 Errol Ekaireb has
transitioned from his position as President & Chief Operating Officer of REMEC
and is no longer an Officer of the Company. Errol will continue in a part-time
position as Special Advisor to Ron Ragland, Chairman & CEO of REMEC, for an
indefinite period of time. Ron Ragland will assume the role of President and
Chief Operating Officer, in addition to his current role as Chairman & CEO.
Jack Giles will continue as Executive Vice President of the Defense & Space Group. All Commercial Operations of the Company have been combined, for cost efficiencies, under an Operating Committee, consisting of Jon Opalski, Executive Vice President of the Commercial Group, David Morash, Executive Vice President & CFO of REMEC, and Clark Hickock, Executive Vice President of the Manufacturing Group, to guide the activities of the Commercial Group.
